Serving supreme God Kachuru Sri Nageshwara and using all available opportunities, her contribution to the development of Bhandary society is huge. she handled all the responsibilities effectively being the president of Shri Nageswara Mahila Mandali and Sri Nageshwara Bajana Mandali
Family Background:
Nirmala Sheshagiri Bhandary is daughter of Mahabala Bhandary Kundapura and Padmavathi Born on 18/3/1956 at Koudur in Kakala Taluk. Nirmala completed her education in Kundapura in 1973 married to bank officer Sheshagiri Bhandary son of Basappa Bhandary Kunjathabettu. They are blessed with a girl child and 2 sons.
At a young age marriage and family responsibilities disrupts her higher education. Constant shifts in the job of her husband. she completed BA Degree after marriage. her hobbies are reading, veene, music bajana, poetry and even tailoring career for her own development
Religious – social life
In 1993, after her husband’s transfer Nirmala family settled in Udupi. She is very interested in social religious activities and she is actively involved with her husband in all the programs of Kachuru Sri Nageshwar Temple
Nirmala’s husband Sheshagiri Bhandary previously served as President of Kachuru Shri Nageshwara temple and also President of Udupi Uthsava Samithi and Bramha kalasha.
Later in 2015, Gangadhar Bhandary Bhirthi who was the president of the temple appointed Nirmala as the convener of the Women’s Union to organize and strength the union. She successfully managed her responsibilities and later elected by the Women’s forum as president of the Sri Nageshwara mahila sangha
She worked successfully in the event to win over everyone. She was successful in starting Sri Varamahalaxmi Puja of the temple organised by women’s union. She was also president of Sri Kachur Nageshwara Bajana Mandali for 2 years
