The above school was established in the  year 2012 by  Sri .Y. Shambhu Bhandary B.Tech, M.I.E. Jyo. Vidwanmani (Vidwan Shambhu Dasa) at the above address. Y.S.Bhandary (Y.S.B)  had earlier served as founder  Vice President at Sri Nageshwara Temple Jeernoddara committee from 1990-1997 and as President from 1997 till 2001.

Overwhelmed  by the prospects of our own Bhandary  Shiva Temple, Y.S.B had worked and served with full zeal and donated large amounts of money. During early 1991 he traveled and contacted thousands of Bhandary Bandhus in and around Bangalore, Tumkur, Kolar, Mysore, Hassan, Chickmagalure, Shimoga districts, spreading awareness and along with the team collected large funds  for  Temple construction. Under his leadership and own funding,  the first large  Luncheon gathering of our Bandhus was organised at Bangalore city star hotel during mid 1991, prior to the Temple foundation laying ceremony at Barkur. Over 250 Bandhus have attended and supported as well as donated liberally. Temple committee too attended and highlighted the opportunity. Founder President late Sanjeeva Bhandary and his family members especially Sri Prakash Katla and his wife Smt. Vidhya have worked and served tirelessly for over a year to build the Temple.

Y.S.B was the founder president of Bangalore Zone Bhandary Samaja, conducting monthly meetings, Annual family  festivals and distributing scholarships to students from 1993. Emphasizing that through better and higher education alone our samaja can raise the head and walk / talk  at equal levels with others, he donated large sums towards educating our students. On the very first grand occasion of May 8^th 1993- Brahma Kalashotsav, he offered Rs. 5000/- in cash and distributed to students at Kacchur for the first time. Thereafter every year he contributed Rs.5000/- to 10000/- towards students education. During the year 1999 annual utsav he donated  Rs.3.00 Lakhs and established Kachur Vidhya Nidhi  at Kachur, through which for the last twenty years scholarships are being distributed. One and the only Kachurvani  was started by him  in 1999, spending his own money and continued for two years before handing over to the next president in 2001.

Vidwan Shambhu Dasa continued his Spiritual, Social, Educational interests at his present holy land  at Kuthyar – 15 Km south  of Udupi  where  with blessings of Parvathi, Parameshwar, and their disciple Parashurama built a modern  grand temple. Large idols of Ganapathi, Parvthi, Parashurameshwara, Parashurama and Saraswathi have been consecrated and daily rituals are  being carried out. From this Kshetra too during 2004 to 2006 he has distributed Rs.4.00 Lakhs to over 1000 students and 4000 nos. of good quality saris to our mothers and sisters with sumptuous lunch .

Yet not  satisfied with the educational  progress of our bandhus, and to benefit rural students Vidwan Shambhu Dasa established an Academic  Institution – Surya Chaitanya Global Academy School at his large elevated 11acres clean green campus. The CBSE English medium school commenced in the year 2012 and reached upto 8^th std.  Next couple of years there will be 10^th std. and later P.U.C.

Udupi district is being wellknown for its first rank in both S.S.L.C. and P.U.C; to facilitate distant students, there is a large Gurukul Hostel in the campus in which 5^th to 8^th Std.  students are accommodated. Good nutritious unlimited veg. food is served and extracurricular activities are encouraged. To the deserving meritorious  students special scholarships are available.
