ಹೌದು! ಅಲೂಗಡ್ಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿನ್ನ ಎಂದಾಕ್ಷಣ ನಾವು ನಗುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಇದು ಸುಳ್ಳು ಎನ್ನುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಭಾರತೀಯರಿಗಂತೂ ಇದು ಜೋಕ್ ಆಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಇತ್ತೀಚಿನ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಕೆನಡಾದ ಕಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬುಡಕಟ್ಟು ಜನರು ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುವ ಅಲೂಗಡ್ಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಅಂಶವೊಂದನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆಹಚ್ಚಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಚಿನ್ನ ದ್ರವ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ಶೋಧಿಸುವ ವಿಧಾನದಿಂದ ಚಿನ್ನದಂಶವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸಬಹುದು ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ರೇಡಿಯೋ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಆಧಾರಿತ ಉಪಕರಣವೊಂದನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿದಿದ್ದು, ಚಿನ್ನದಂಶವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಲೆಕ್ಕಾಚಾರದಂತೆ ಆದರೆ 2019 ರ ವೇಳೆಗೆ ಈ ಯಂತ್ರ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಈ ತಳಿಯ ಅಲೂಗೆಡ್ಡೆಯನ್ನು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಕೆನಡಾದ Doulhousi University ಕೃಷಿ ಮತ್ತು ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿಶ್ಚವಿಧ್ಯಾಲಯ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿ ಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದು ಹೈಬ್ರಿಡ್ ತಳಿಯನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸುವ ಯತ್ನದಲ್ಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಕೆನಡಾ ದ Popular science Magazine ತಿಳಿಸಿದೆ .
ಅಲೂಗಡ್ಡೆಯ ಇತಿಹಾಸ:
ಅಲೂಗಡ್ಡೆ ಬೆಳೆಯು ಪೆರುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಿ.ಪೂ 5000 – 7000 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬೆಳೆಸಲಾಗುತಿತ್ತು. ನಂತರ ಇದು ಸ್ಪಾನಿಶ್ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿ ಹೊಂದಿತು. ನಂತರ ಯುರೋಪಿಯನ್ನರು ವಿಶ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿದರು.
ಅಲೂಗಡ್ಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕ ತಳಿಗಳಿದ್ದು ವಿಶೇಷ ರುಚಿಯುಳ್ಳ ವಿವಿಧ ಬಣ್ಣಗಳ ತಳಿಗಳು ಇವೆ. ಯಾಕೂನು ಗೋಲ್ಡ್ ಪೊಟಾಟೊ ಎಂಬ ಹೈಬ್ರಿಡ್ ತಳಿ ಅಮೆರಿಕದಲ್ಲಿ 1935 ರಲ್ಲೆ ಕಂಡು ಹಿಡಿದಿದ್ದರು. ರೈತರ ಆದಾಯ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿದ ಈ ತಳಿಯನ್ನು ಬಂಗಾರವೆಂದೇ ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ ಕಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುವ ಅಲೂಗಡ್ಡೆಯೊಂದು ಬಂಗಾರವಾಗಿರುವುದು ಈಗ ಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿ ಸಂತಸ ಮೂಡಿಸಿದೆ.
ಭಾರತೀಯರಿಗೆ ಈ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮೊದಲೇ ಅರಿವಿತ್ತಾ?
ಹೌದು ಭಾರತದ ಜನ ಅಲೂಗಡ್ಡೆ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮೊದಲೆ ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕಾರಣ ಇತ್ತೀಚಿಗೆ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪಕ್ಷವೊಂದರ ನಾಯಕ ಅಲೂಗಡ್ಡೆಯಿಂದ ಚಿನ್ನ ಉತ್ಪಾದಿಸುವ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ಆಗ ಇವರ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಯಾರೂ ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸದೇ ಗೇಲಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಇದೇನು ಹೊಸತಲ್ಲ ಬಿಡಿ. ಚಿಂತಕ , ಸಂಶೋಧಕರು ಹೊಸ ವಿಚಾರವನ್ನು ಜನರ ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟಾಗ ಗೇಲಿ , ತಮಾಷೆ ಹಿಂದಿನಿಂದಲೂ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಅಮೆರಿಕದ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ಸಾಧಿಸಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದು ಭಾರತೀಯರಲ್ಲೂ ಸಂತಸ ಮೂಡುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಕಾರಣ ಈ ಕಲ್ಪನೆ ಭಾರತೀಯನಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಪರಿಣಾಮವೇನಾಗಬಹುದು?
ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಈ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಸಫಲವಾದರೆ ಕೃಷಿಕರಿಗೆ ಬಹುದೊಡ್ಡ ಲಾಭವಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿನ್ನಕ್ಕೆ ಬಹುಬೇಡಿಕೆ ಇರುವ ಕಾರಣ ಸ್ವದೇಶದಲ್ಲೇ ಚಿನ್ನ ಉತ್ಪಾದಿಸಿ ದೇಶದ ಉತ್ಪಾದಕತೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವುದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬೆಲೆಯೇರಿಕೆ ತಡೆಗಟ್ಟಬಹುದು.

The human body is composed of many elements, including Gold in trace amounts.
According the technical treatise, The Elements Third Edition, written by John Emsley and published by the Clarendon Press, Oxford in 1998, the average person’s body weighing 70 kilograms would contain a total mass of 0.2 milligrams of gold. The volume of this gold in purified form would be 10 nanoliters. If this refined gold were formed into a solid cube of purified gold, the measurement of each side of the cube would be 0.22 millimeters.
By comparison, the human body contains 43 kilograms of oxygen, the most abundant element in the earth, as well as the human body. Other elements found in the human body include 16 kilograms of carbon and 7 kilograms of hydrogen.
While the role of gold in the physiological processes of the human body was unknown for many years, it has recently been determined that gold plays a role in both the health and maintenance of the joints, as well as being a key element in the transmittal of electrical signals throughout the body. Of interesting note, the human body contains 1.0 gram of Silicon. This element is commonly found in the presence of gold in nature and its metabolic function is currently unknown.
