Everyone who turns the life pages of today’s pearl will surely be astonished. Raghavendra J bhandary (Raghav) is our today’s achiever who achieved in a career which he completely ignored one day.
He is one among the 5 children of the couple Mr.jagannatha bhanary of Kundapura and mrs.shanthamma bhandary. he was born in Soraba of Shivamoga district. Because both of his parents were working hard for daily wages, In the very young age there came a situation even for Mr.Raghav to work in a printing press by cleaning, bringing water and as a milk supplier. As soon as he completed his tenth standard without even waiting for the results he went to his uncle’s shop in kammaradi to learn barbering. As he used his left hand most of the time it was not so easy for him to learn barbering. He also worked with his uncle for harvesting and transporting the bettle leaves to near by Tirthahalli, Bejjavalli and Konandur market. With so much diligence he was doing his work that, with no time he was popular as yele Raaghu in the surrounding town. As he was harvesting leaves with both of his hands, his arms started supporting him to learn barbering and he learnt the work day by day.
As his brother Finishing Touch Naveen Bhandary insisted, he traveled to Mumbai in 1998. There He worked in the laundry for a while, Sold key chain, Worked in the stock market, worked as a pygmy collector every evening, Worked as a salesman, worked as a waiter for bars and restaurants till overnight and also he lost Money Working in the bakery for partnership. Along with these he also learnt barbering.
Finally, obeying his brother Naveen’s words he joined the prestigious Stylo company as a hair designer. After working for many years in the company he was forced to come out of the organization.
In 2009 he married Mrs.Smita, daughter of the couple Mr. Ananda bhandary and Mrs. Sumathi ananda bhandary of Mangalore who were resided in Mumbai, Worli.
As Mr.Raghav bhandary supported his wife for further studies Mrs.smita Raghav bhandary got the work in central Government’s postal department in 2011. Now they are blessed with the children, Smirag of 6 years and Swarag of 1 year.
With the support of his wife Smita, he continued his studies and did computer course in Maharashtra State Certificate in Information Technology (MSCIT) and Pune Vidyapeeth. He completed all of his course in first grade by studying in night college.
Raghav bhandary, The one who had completely rejected the barbering once upon a time, participated in the competition organized by the Salon and Beauty Association (Mumbai) in 2013 and won the Second Runner-up among 750 competitors from Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
